I love this stuff.
Since the early days starting out in my parent’s suburban garage, I’ve been focused on helping my clients to succeed online and harness the power of good design.
My mission is to help make marketing and design simple for business owners, to take it off your plate so you can focus on what you do best, run your business.
I quit college in Michigan with big dreams of moving west to California. Begin learning web development. The first iteration of my website design studio was born.
I called it Mightybox.
After getting my first few clients, I moved my ‘headquarters’ into my parent’s garage. I painted it lime green and 2 months later landed my first Fortune 100 client.
My design studio moves across the country along with my young family. I rebrand the design business as Third & Grand as we make beautiful downtown Knoxville, TN our home.
I partner to help start a local coffee shop in downtown Knoxville we named Remedy. Quickly named one of the top coffee shops in the South, Remedy serves only the finest Intelligentsia coffee and teas.
Alongside my design studio, I launch my first online product based business. I named it Kanvess. A simple idea to print and ship Instagram photos. Featured in TechCrunch, Seventeen, and the LA Times. Orders surge and the business grows. I was fortunate to sell the business for six figures.
HEAD WEST (AGAIN)
My family and I return to Southern California and rebrand the design studio as Woodrow. My mission is to help business owners succeed through smart and beautiful design.
I help companies increase sales and conversions using smart design.
I live in beautiful Bend, Oregon with my wife Sara and our 3 daughters. My entire career I’ve been designing brands, products, apps, and websites.
Much of my focus is spent thinking through visual design, designing interfaces, and obsessing over building beautiful user experiences.
My favorite food group. I’ve traveled across the USA searching for the very best and love making my own at home.
I own an adventure motorcycle and each summer I go on an epic multi-state road trip with friends.
I only (mostly) watch movies at the theater. Something about the popcorn and the darkness.
I don’t miss the winters but I’ll always have a sweet spot for my home state. Go Blue!
My adopted home state. My family lived in Tennessee for 12 years – I still miss those fall colors!
Since I was a little guy, I’ve loved the beautiful outdoors and camping (glamping) with my family.
